Biography

Dr. David Chua Kim Huat is the Director (Development, Faculty of Engrg)in National University of Singapore. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of California, Berkeley, M.Sc. from University of California, Berkeley, M.Eng from National University of Singapore, B.Eng.from University of Adelaide. He is an active part of various profeessional bodies American Society of Civil Engineers; Construction Research Council; International Group for Lean Construction; Institution of Engineers, Singapore; Society of Project Manager (past Council Member); System Safety Society, Singapore Chapter (Council Member); Structural Engrg Inst. (Charter Member) with the Over 180 international journals and conference papers and invited seminars and workshops (with 14 keynote or plenary papers); 16.2 Citations/journal paper; invited chapter contribution to 3 books h-index: 18 with 2 papers in top 10 most cited papers in Jnl of Constr Engrg & Mgment, ASCE.He was honoured with various awards as Best paper award, 3rd Int’l Conf on Engrg, Proj, & Prodn Mgment (EPPM 2012), Univ of Brighton, UK,Colombo Plan Scholarship (1977), The Sir Robert Chapman Prize (1977).During his tenure he guided overhaul civil engineering curricula.
