Li-An Lin, Ph.D., holds the position of Sr. Scientist (biostatistics) in the Department of Biostatistics at the Merck & Co., Inc. His methodological expertise covers design and analysis of clinical trials, survival analysis (recurrent events, semi-competing risks, etc.), longitudinal data analysis, statistical computation, functional data analysis, semiparametric regression, and statistical genetics. Dr. Lin has been working on the development and application of innovative Bayesian methods for clinical trial studies, including safety evaluation, risk management, and incorporating multiple biomarkers and adaptive designs to develop more efficient and ethical clinical trials.
