He has been held an Associate Professor position at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and a current Professor position at Kuwait University and also a Fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (FCP). These academic positions have allowed him to pursue both biomedical research in the areas of diabetes, reproduction and cancers and also to direct and teach a course in medical physiology/ pharmacology to medical students
The role of oxidative stress, growth factors and cellular senescence in the etiology of infertility, insulin resistance and impaired wound healing in diabetes mellitus, and secondly, the cross-talk of PKA-dependent VEGF expression and Epac-induced PI3K/Akt/eNOS under various conditions including diabetes, oxidative stress and aging.
