Biography

Dr Gomes completed her PhD in Sport Science and Biomedicine in 2009 at Edinburgh, Napier University, UK. Her MSc was in Exercise Physiology and was carried out at Loughborough University, UK and her undergraduate studies were completed at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Brazil. She is now working as a postdoctoral researcher at the latter university

Research Interest

Influence of physical activity in health; thermoregulation and exercise; exercise and the immune system; effect of air pollution on exercise and immune system; antioxidant intake, performance and oxidative stress.
