Biography

Dr. Emeka Danielson Odai is a graduate of University of Benin, Benin-City teaches in the department of Oral Surgery and Pathology and affiliated to the department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin-City. He is a consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and holds a Masters’ degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology. He is an undergraduate and postgraduate teacher of Maxillofacial Surgery and researches mainly in maxillofacial traumatology, maxillofacial surgeries, maxillofacial oncology, clinical pharmacology, pain management and quality of Life. Dr. Emeka Danielson Odai, an ex-parliamentarian of the University of Benin student union government is a recipient of several awards including, International Association for Dental Research/UNILEVER Hatton Award for best clinical research 2013 (Nigeria Division). Merit Award for exhibition of exemplary character as an undergraduate student of the University, (1999) University of Benin (UNIBEN) Benin-City. Life Gold Statesman (1998), Citizenship and Leadership Training Club, UNIBEN. Rotaractor of the year awards (1994-1997) Rotaract Club of UNIBEN. NYSC State Award (2002), Ogun State. NYSC State directors Commendation, (2002), Ogun State. Dr. E.D Odai (JP), is an internationally recognized humanitarian. Member of board of directors, Rotary Club of Uselu, Rotary International District 4190, Nigeria for several years. President and Chair, board of directors, Rotary Club of Uselu, Rotary International District 4190, 2009-2010. Donor to the Rotary Foundation (PHF*). Humanitarian Service Award, 2009. (Rotaract Club of New Benin-Community Based) He is currently the departmental examination officer, assistant faculty examination officer, faculty sports officers and member of three University of Benin task force committees.
