Francesco Flammini received his Laurea and Doctoral degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2003, he has worked in Ansaldo STS on the reliability, safety and security of rail-based transportation systems, on both installation and research projects wordwide. He has taught academic courses of Computer Science and Software Engineering, as well as several lectures about dependable computing and critical infrastructure protection. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and serves as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Italy Chapter.
