Biography

Dr Xue, a chief physician, professor and PhD supervisor, works at the Plastic Surgery Hospital (Institute), CAMS, PUMC. He is an expert who enjoys the special allowance of the state council and is also a talent under the “National Thousands and Million Talent Program in the New Century”. Dr Xue is member of The New York Academy of Science and American Association for the Advancement of Science, respectively. He also acts as standing committee and Secretary-General of the Chinese Branch of World Society of Pain Clinicians. Dr Xue is reviewer and editorial board member for many journals, including: the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia; Anesthesiology; Pediatrics; Pediatric Anesthesia; the European Journal of Anaesthesiology and the Chinese Medical Journal. Over the past decades, Dr Xue received a total of 42 grants from the Chinese Medical Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Health, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Excellent Talents Support Foundation as well as National Science Foundation. He also received awards from the Ministry of Health and Grade I Awards from the Sichuan Science and Technology Award Advancement. Dr Xue has published eleven books and more than 910 papers, more than 520 of which are included in SCI journals. In addition, he has won 72 national patents in his career.
