He studied medicine in Sassari (Italy), where he obtained the medical degree (final mark of 110/110) with a final thesis on “Latex allergy among health care workers”. In 2005, he started his specialization school in the University of Pavia and he obtained the specialization degree in "Occupational Medicine" with a final mark of 50/50 and honours in 2008. In December 2008, he started his experience as researcher in the Allergy and Immunology Unit of the Salvatore, Maugeri Foundation in Pavia, directed by Prof. Gianna Moscato, where he is current employed. He has been involved in the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Task Force on “Prevention of work related allergies among pre-apprentices or apprentices” and he is currently involved in two EAACI task forces on “Diagnosis of Work-Related Asthma” and “Assessment of cough at the workplace”. He is regional coordinator (Sardinia) of the Junior Members of the Italian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (SIAIC), Webmaster of the EAACI “Occupational Allergy Interest Group” and the European Junior Member representative of the same Interest Group. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 papers, most of these published in peer-reviewed journals, and participated as presenting author or invited speaker to several national and international congresses with topics in Allergy, Pneumology and Occupational Medicine.
