Biography

Doc. Dott. Giuseppe Maiello, Ph.D. is Associate professor at University of Finance and Administration in Prague – Czech Republic. As visiting professor, he has lectures in other three Czech universities and one Polish. He has many teaching and research tracks. He teaches Theory of Communication, at the Faculty of Economic Studies of the University of Finance and Administration in Prague, at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno and at the Faculty of Multimedia Communication of the Tomas Bata University in Zlín; Sociology at the Faculty of Education of the Palacký University in Olomouc, at the Faculty of Multimedia Communication of the Tomas Bata University in Zlín and at the Faculty of Social studies of The Humanitas University in Sosnowiec. In those Universities, he has also lectures in Cultural anthropology, History of religions and Ethnography. He is author or co-author of five Monographs and more than 50 studies, published as chapter in Monograph, article and recension in Scientific journals or Conference proceedings. He is member of the Editorial board of the journals Civila and Novaja Rusistika. He is Member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Social studies of The Humanitas University in Sosnowiec, Member of the Doctoral committee of Theory of Area Studies of the Masaryk University in Brno and Member of the Presidium of the Czech Association of Slavic scholars.

Semiotics, Sociology of Culture, Sociology of Education, Ethics in Marketing communication, Anthropology of Death, History of Eastern Europe, History of Slavic studies.
