Guowei Li

Biography

Dr. Li received his bachelor degree of medicine (MBBS) and master degree of science (MSc), both from Peking University in China, and finished his PhD at McMaster University in Canada. He is serving as a research associate at St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and McMaster University currently. As a health research methodologist, his areas of research cover a wide spectrum including cardiovascular diseases, intensive care, infectious diseases, tropical medicine, cancer prevention and treatment, community health and public health. His research interest includes 1) the design, implementation, supervision and evaluation of observational studies and clinical trials, 2) the development and validation of prediction models as decision-making aids, 3) evidence-based medicine including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and 4) the application of health research methodology.
