Hansen A Mansy
Associate Professor
University of Central Florida, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, USA
Received his PhD in 1990 in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL; and bioacoustics training at Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2010. He was Assistant and later Associate Professor of Bioengineering at Rush Medical College, and University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently Associate Professor in Bioengineering at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL.
His areas of interest include biomedical acoustics, flow induced vibrations, vibro-acoustic sensors, digital signal processing, and entrepreneurship. His current research focuses on studying vibro-acoustic phenomena and developing new concepts and methodologies for patient monitoring and medical diagnosis using bio-acoustics. His research has been funded by the Whitaker Foundation and different NIH institutes. He has been teaching bio-acoustics, instrumentation, thermofluids, statistical analysis, digital data acquisition and processing, and electromechanical system design, analysis and testing for over 25 years.
