Biography

Dr. Harish Garg is Assistant Professor at Thapar University Patiala, India. Prior to joining Thapar University, Patiala, Dr. Garg received a PhD in Applied Mathematics with specialization of Reliability theory and soft computing techniques, from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2013 and an MSc in Mathematics from Punjabi University, Patiala, India in 2008. His research interest are in the field of Computational Intelligence, Reliability theory, Optimization techniques, various nature inspired algorithms (e.g. genetic algorithms, swarm optimization), fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy set theory. Application areas include wide range of industrial and structural engineering design problems. Dr. Garg is the author of over 45 scholarly publications in the top-tier reputed journals such as Applied Soft Computing, Expert Systems with Application, Computer and Industrial Engineering, ISA Transactions, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based System, Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization, Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics etc. He has also published 4 book chapters.
