Biography

Harvey Jian-Min Hou is the associate professor in the Department of Physical Sciences at the Alabama State University. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Peking University in China and conducted his postdoctoral training at the Rockefeller University. He has been working on structure and function relationship of membrane proteins including photosynthetic reaction centers and G protein-coupled receptors using molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysical techniques for over 19 years. He has 60+ publications including 17 review articles and 39 peer-reviewed papers.

Research Interest

His current research interest includes 1) photosynthesis and 2) forensic science.
