Biography

Herman Mawengkangis a professor in Operations Research at the department of Mathematics, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia. Currently, his position is the chairman of Mathematics post graduate study. He received his PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Autralia, in 1988. He has produced several papers for journals and international conferences. He has supervised many Masters students and PhD students.

Research Interest

Integer programming, Nonlinear programming, stochastic programming, financial optimization, environmental modeling, land use management problem, water distribution network, sustainable production planning, Quadratic Assignment Problem, Vehicle Routing Problem.
