Dr. Kohaar is did her post-doctorate research training at Laboratory of Translational Genomics (LTG), National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH. Dr. Kohaar got her Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Delhi, India where she worked on the role of cytokine gene polymorphisms in relation to Human-Papillomavirus (HPV) infection in cervical cancer. Her research expertise includes investigation of the genetics and genomics of infectious diseases including Hepatitis Virus (HCV) mediated liver cancer and functional follow up of GWAS signals in bladder cancer.
