Biography

Isabel Martínez-Solís PhD. is university professor at the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (Spain). She has a long experience, she began in 1989 at the University of Valencia, is part of the Health Sciences Faculty of the CEU university from 1997. Her specialty is Botany, such as basic science and applied science to the study of medicinal, toxic and narcotic plants, and plant foods. She is the director of a multi-disciplinary and inter-university research group. The research lines are varied and, of them, the line that it enjoys public funding: study of medicinal, narcotic and toxic plants and plant foods. In terms of scientific production, she has research publications in national and international journals, book chapters and books, as well as communications to national and international conferences. In addition she has participated in research projects funded by public funds, as principal researcher and member of the research team. She also has contributed to projects funded by the university (as principal and collaborator researcher). Finally, she has carried out, as principal researcher, research projects funded by private companies. She is Director of Doctoral Thesis in botanical and health field. In addition, she is the Director of the Interuniversity Laboratory (SEPLAN).
