Dr. Jack A Kastelik is a lead clinician for Pleural Diseases for Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and as such I run a pleural service in a large teaching university hospital. He has a wide experience of thoracic ultrasonography having been performing thoracic ultrasound for over 10 years. He is a member of the North East Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Alliance Cancer Network. He is also a chair of the Pulmonary Procedures Committee for Yorkshire and Humber responsible for improvement and development of pulmonary procedures training including bronchoscopy, thoracic ultrasound and pleural procedures such as chest drain insertion. He has a major interest in quality of service development and delivery through his work as a Governance Lead locally and nationally through Professional and Organisational Standards Committee, Educational subcommittee and the Council of the British Thoracic Society, Educational and Training Committee British Thoracic Society, Workforce Committee British Thoracic Society and have been involved in a number of quality of standards and audit programmes.
