Biography

Jacqueline VolkmanWise, PhD is anAssistant Professor of Risk, Insurance, and Healthcare Managementat the Fox School of Business at Temple University.She has a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from Penn State University and has an A.M. and Ph.D. in Managerial Science and Applied Economics with a major in Insurance and Risk Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is an S.S. Huebner Fellow and has publications in top journals such asInsurance: Mathematics and Economicsand the Journal of Risk and Insurance (forthcoming). She has presented and discussed research at numerous conferences including ARIA, WRIA, WRIEC, FMA, and NBER. She has served on several committees for these associations and haspresented work on behavioral finance to over fifty CFOs as part of CFO Alliance. Prior to joining Temple University in 2011, she was an Assistant Professor of Finance at Fordham University.

Insurance Economics, Behavioral Decision Theory, Utility theory, Catastrophe Insurance, and Pension Economics.
