Dr. James B. McCarthy is Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Field Training, Psy. D. Program in School-Clinical Child Psychology, Pace University, New York City and Clinical Professor of Psychology, Adelphi University, Garden City, New York. Previously, he was Director of Psychology at New York City Children’s Center- Queens Campus and on the Faculty of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Division of Child Psychiatry. He has published extensively in the professional literature in areas related to adolescence, child psychotherapy, cognition, psychosis, and the treatment of severely disturbed children and adults. His most recent book, Psychosis in Childhood and Adolescence, is published by Routledge.
