Dr. Jane Ru Choi received her Bachelor degree (Hons) in Biomedical Science from The National University of Malaysia in 2012 and Ph.D. in Engineering from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2016. She is currently a Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests include cell and molecular biology, analytical chemistry, biomaterials and nanomaterials, and the development of microfluidic technologies for environmental monitoring, food safety analysis and a wide range of biomedical applications. Dr. Choi has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed articles, 2 book chapters with 8 patents issued or pending. Her works have been highlighted in Elsevier’s Summer Chemistry Collection, X-MOL News, Wiley Materials Views and Advanced Science News. Dr. Choi serves as an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of more than 10 international journals including Stem Cells International (Lead Guest Editor), Scientific Reports, Analytical Chemistry, Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry etc.
