Jesús Román received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM)(Spain) in 1979 and a Ph.D. in pharmacy on the fields of coordination compounds of biological interest from the UCM in 1983. Currently he is full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry since 2009, in the Department of Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy (UCM). He was visiting Professor at the Universities of Grenoble (INPG, France), Aveiro (Portugal) and Moscow (Russia). Prof. Roman has been involved in more than 25 research projects and has authored about 65 articles published in indexed Scientific Journals as well as many contributions to Congress.
Synthesis and characterization of novel ceramic and ceramic-organic hybrid materials for biomedical applications, bone tissue engineering and drug delivery systems.
