Biography

Jian Huang was born in 1960. He received a Ph. D degree (in Medicine) from the Graduate School of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 1996. He has been a Research Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, Yokohama National University, since 1996. He received a Ph.D. degree (in Engineering) from the Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University, in 2004.
He moved to Kinki Unniversity in 2008 and now is a Professor of the Department of Robotics, Faculty of Engineering.

Research Interest

Haptics, force tele-communication, control of a redundant robot, measurement of the mechanism of force perception/upper limb motion, kinesthesia measurement.
