Jingzhe Pan
Professor in Mechanics of Materials, Department of Engineering
University of Leicester, UK
Professor Jingzhe Pan received his BSc in Applied Mechanics from Shenyang University of Technology in 1982, MSc in Computational Mechanics from Dalian University of Technology in 1985 and PhD in Solid Mechanics fatigue damage of fibberreinforced composite laminates from Shanghai JiaoTong University in 1988. ACADEMIC CAREER: In 1990 Jingzhe Pan was a visiting fellow at the Civil Engineering Department of Liverpool University, working on impact damage of concrete structures. From 1991 to 1994, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Engineering Department of Cambridge University, working on creep failure of engineering materials. From 1994 to 2006, he was a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and then Reader at the University of Surrey. His research at Surrey was focused on sintering science and technology. In 2006, he joined the University of Leicester to take up a Chair in Mechanics of Materials.
