Biography

Dr. Baumeister is the director of the Exercise & Brain Laboratory at the University of Paderborn in Germany. His work focuses on the understanding the fundamentals of sensorimotor function in general as well as in fatigue, injury, learning and different environmental conditions. Using an electrophysiological approach (EEG, EMG) his current work examines neurocognitive factors related to injury prevention and rehabilitation, the effects of physical and mental fatigue on sensorimotor function and the influence of physical activity setting on cognitive performance and cortical activity.
