Dr. José Arellano-Galindo is leader of group in virology research in immunosupressed patients mainly in bone marrow transplantation at the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gomez in México city (HIMFG). He studied his BSc (1990-1995), MSc (1996-1998) and PhD (2000-2006) at the National School of Biological Science (ENCB) at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) México DF with the support of a CONACYT fellowship. Chief of the bone marrow transplant laboratory at the HIMFG (2000-2006). Afterwards he was postdoctoral fellowship with the support of DAAD at the Institute of Virology and Epidemiology of Viral diseases in Tubingen Germany. He is member of the national system of researchers (SNI-CONACYT) and member of the institutional systems of researchers of the ministry of health (SSA). Assistant professor in cellular and molecular biology for postgraduated medicine students in Haematology (HIM-UNAM) and invited professor to courses of graduated students at the ENCB, CINVESTAV IPN, and at the Medicine School IPN.
