Joy Jayaseelan is currently working as a Project Manager at the Human Genome Sequencing Center at the Baylor College of Medicine. Her work on the Drosophilia Melanogaster and Butterfly and genome has been published in the premier international peer-reviewed journal Nature and her work on the Bumblee genome has been published in the Genome Biology journal and each has been cited over a hundred times by other researchers all over the world. This work has greatly enhanced our understanding of pharmacogenomics and evolution. She completed her Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Houston in 2009.
