Developing redox-active chemotherapeutic agents and radiation sensitizers for cancer treatment. These agents attack cancer cells with disturbed redox millieu and thus more susceptible to cell death induced by redox imbalance. Many of the agents under investigation are micronutrients that are present and can be supplemented in food, such as ascorbic acid and selenium compounds, thus his research provide potential nutritional approaches of cancer treatment.
