Biography

Dr. K. B. M. Saiful Islam has completed his Ph.D. and MS in Bio-systems Sustainability (Microbiology) from Hokkaido University, Japan, Diploma in Avian Medicine from KVL, Denmark, MS in Medicine from Bangladesh Agricultural University and DVM from Chittagong University, Bangladesh. He has around 12 years of research and teaching experience, and published 14 research papers in different peer reviewed journals. He has attended several national and international seminar, symposiums, conferences and workshops in home and abroad and published 31 proceedings papers. He has received several national and international prestigious awards as the recognition of his outstanding scientific contributions of which ‘Asian Young LAB Scientist Award-2011, Young Researcher Award-2014, Young Scientist Award-2015 and Genius Award-2016 are most noteworthy. Dr. Islam was selected for consecutive three times as the one and only “key Opinion Leader” from Bangladesh to represent the veterinary profession of the country internationally. At present, he is holding the positions of Chairman, Department of Medicine and Public Health; Center-in-Charge, Zoonotic Diseases Research & Information Center (ZDRIC), and Program-in-Charge, Avian Diseases Veterinary Post Graduate Training Course at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
