Biography

Kavintheran Thambiratnam obtained his B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Applied Physics and M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Photonics from the University of Malaya. He has published more than 35 research articles in ISI journals as well as numerous conference proceedings, books and articles in magazines.

Research Interest

His research interest were focused on optical communications applications, encompassing technologies such as fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers, the applications of graphene in fiber optics and the development of quick pulsed fiber lasers, optical sensing technologies, with a specific focus on the use of optical methods for detecting and measuring the parameters of various biological constituents such as stem cells
