Dr. Keiko Ikemoto is a Principal Director, Department of Psychiatry, Iwaki Kyoritsu General Hospital, Fukushima, Japan. She is a Visiting Professor in Tokushima Graduate University Keiko Ikemoto graduated Shiga University of Medical Science in 1985, specialized in Psychiatry (Prof. Saburo Takahashi) and Neuroscience (Prof Toshihiro Maeda), and then graduated the Graduate School of Shiga University of Medical Science in 1996, when finished PhD. She studied monoamine neuronal system and sleep as a Boursiere du Gouvernement Francais in the Department of Experimental Medicine, Claude Bernard University (Prof. Michel Jouvet) in France (1995-1996), and Department of Anatomy, Fujita Health University, School of Medicine, Japan (1997-2000). She continued clinical research, brain research and education in Hanamaki National Hospital (2001-2004), Fukushima Medical University, School of Medicine (2004-2013), Shiga University of Medical Science (1985-present), and Department of Psychiatry, Iwaki Kyoritsu General Hospital, in Japan (2010-present). She organized the 1st Symposium for Brain Bank, in Fukushima in 2006. Now she chairs the Department of Psychiatry, Iwaki Kyoritsu General Hospital, Japan. She has published about 400 articles on neuropsychiatry and neuroscience.
