Dr. Brayton is an Associate Professor of Microbial Genomics at Washington State University. After obtaining a Ph.D. in biochemistry at Purdue University, Dr. Brayton did postdoctoral work at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute in South Africa where she became involved with Rickettsial pathogens of veterinary importance.
