Dr.Kelsey Hall is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Communicationand journalism at Utah State University. She received her doctoratedegree in agricultural education with an emphasis in agriculturalcommunications at Texas Tech University. Hall has two areas ofresearch: decision making within sectors of society and thescholarship of teaching and learning within the agriculturalcommunication and journalism discipline. She primarily investigateshow the knowledge and attitudes an individual possesses in regards toa specific agricultural topic can influence his or her behaviorsrelated to the local food movement (farmers’ markets, eatinglocal, community supported agriculture, farm to school, farm toretail). She is an award-winning researcher receiving the Top ThesisAward and Outstanding Research Proposal Award from the Associationfor Communication Excellence (ACE). She has co-authored award-winningresearch papers and posters, including the ACE Outstanding ResearchPaper, American Association for Agricultural Education SouthernRegion 2nd place research poster, the ACE Top Research Paper, Journalof Applied Communications Research Article of the Year, and the ACE1st Place Outstanding Faculty Research Paper.
