The University of Heidelberg, Medical School (1975),

Training in diagnostic pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, DC, USA (1981),

Specialized in Pathology (1982), in Medical Informatics (1984), Molecular Pathology (2002);

routine work in diagnostic pathology, environmental hazards and cancer registry since 1976.

Research Interest

Research on asbestos and lung diseases with establishment of new screening tecniques for asbestos burden in lung tissue, morphological and molecular biological changes in human lung tissues associated with airborn hazards (natural and synthetic mineral fibers, herbizides, insectizides, fine particulate, etc.)
