Biography

Dr. K.M.Cherian is presently working as Chairman and CEO of International Centre for Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Diseases. He is one of the most decorated heart surgeons in India as he is also the Honorary Surgeon to the President of India. Dr. K.M. Cherian has completed his F.R.A.C.S. from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Sydney and performed the first Successful Coronary Artery Graft in India. Dr. Cherian is the First and the only Indian’s name engraved in one of the stones in Kos Island, Greece, the birth place of the medical professional, Hippocrates, the “Father of Medicine”, on the occasion of World Society of Cardio Thoracic Surgeons held between 30th April – 3rd May.
