Dr. K Thomas Klasson received his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville in 1988. Currently, he is working as Research Leader at the Southern Regional Research Center of the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in New Orleans Louisiana Prior to this position. He worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as Group Leader and Engineer. He has served as coeditor of Biotechnology for Fuels and Chemical a special edition of Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology. He has authored over 125 research articles, book chapters proceeding manuscripts and technical reports in the areas of biotechnology, environmental remediation and alternative uses of agricultural resources. He is an member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers and American Chemical Society.
