Biography

Dr Laura Costanzo (PhD) is a Lecturer in Strategic Management at the Surrey Business School, University of Surrey. Prior to moving to the UK she was educated in Italy where she obtained her BSc and MSc in Economics. Subsequently she moved to the UK for further studies in higher education, thus obtaining an MBA and PhD in Business & Management from the University of Leeds. In Leeds she spent five years, working as a research fellow at the International Institute of Banking and Financial Services, The University of Leeds. Then she moved to the University of Surrey where she is currently the Director of the MSc in Management. She lectures in the subjects of strategy and innovation management, for which she is the module leader, across a number of master programmes. She also teaches qualitative research methods on the Doctorate of Business Administration and supervises a number of PhD, DBA and MSc theses. She is also an external examiner for the strategy subject at many UK and non-UK universitie.

Research Interest

Her current research interests are in the areas of strategy-as-practice, top management team’s dynamics and strategic decision-making, social innovation & entrepreneurship, and innovation processes within global firms.
