University at Albany, Wadsworth Center, NYS Department of Health, State University of New York, USA
Dr. Li Huang is a young scientist actively involved in the research of material science and environmental engineering. She is an author of nearly thirty peer-reviewed journal articles and reviewer for some prestigious international journals like Journal of Physical Chemistry, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Analytical Chemistry. She received inter-disciplinary training in the field of environmental engineering, chemical engineering, and material science and engineering. Dr. Huang is currently a research scientist in Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health and School of Public Health, University of Albany, State University of New York. Before moved into her current appointment, she worked as a research scientist in the Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis for about two years. Because of her solid background in both environmental engineering and material science and engineering, her major research interests lie in the application of advanced materials in environment pollution control as well as the assessment of potential risk of exposure to various materials.
Application of nano-materials in the field of environment and energy, Toxicity of nano-materials and pollutants on biosystem, Pollutants and particles detection method development, Physicochemical pollutant abatement method development.
