Linda Sommese is Assistant Professor at U.O.C. Clinical Immunology, Immunohematology, Transfusion Medicine and Transplant Immunology, Regional Reference Laboratory of Transplant Immunology, Department of Internal and Specialistic Unit, Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria, II University of Naples. She received Biology degree from the University of Naples. Her researches cover infection, haematological and cardiovascular fields producing a continuous scientific activity documented by 59 publications in International Journals with an Impact Factor over 150. From 2004 until now, research funds from II University of Naples.
Research activities were focused on the study of human cell lines such as stem cells, infected with different bacterial extracellular and intracellular studying the pathophysiological mechanisms and methodological evaluation of endothelial damage induced by any parent bacterial infection. Moreover, studies on the prevalence and incidence of infectious disease markers on blood donors.
