A Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry, Belgrade University (Serbia). For four years (1994-1998) was an Assistant Professor, Applied Chemistry Department of the Chemistry Institute, at Belgrade University. Her graduated studies were continued at the Chemistry Institute of the University of Campinas (Unicamp) where she obtained the PhD in May 2002. Post-doctorate research, from August 2002 to May 2004, was carried out at the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS, Brazil). In October 2004 became a Professor, Organic Chemistry Department of the Chemistry Institute of the University of Campinas, and started lecturing in courses on Biochemistry I and II, Molecular Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry I and II (undergraduate and graduate programs).
At the moment, her research interests are related to Biological Chemistry, Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, with emphasis on the metabolomics, lipidomics, chemistry of macromolecules, especially proteins, and bioactive compounds, applying Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.
