Dr. Luis Polo-Parada, received his bachelor degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Escuela Superior de Fisica y Matematicas del IPN-Mexico. Dr. Polo-Parada obtained his Master’s Degree in Physiology from the University of Connecticut and his Ph. D. in Neurosciences from Case Western Reserve University. His research has been focused in two main areas: a) the development of the electrical activity of the heart and the function of the neuromuscular junctions and b) Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine. Dr. Polo-Parada is an Assistant Professor from the University of Missouri-Columbia in the Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology - Medical School and is Resident Investigator in the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center.
