Dr. Rahimi is at the Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He received his PhD from Virginia Tech. He has more than 150 publications in the field of human factors engineering with applications to transportation, automation, healthcare, and construction. During the past 15 years, he has also been involved in research in industrial ecology and life-cycle assessment of technological systems. He received an AT&T Fellow in Industrial Ecology in 2000. He has developed a Master of Science degree in Green Technologies at USC. He has also been the founding faculty advisor for the USC chapter of the Engineers Without Borders, with water projects for two villages in Honduras.
