Biography

Maria Jose Míguez is a medical Doctor with a PhD in immunologist. She has completed her Post-Doctoral fellowship in Immunology; Fellow in Immunology in 1993 and Post-Doctoral Scholar in AIDS, TB, Fogarty Fellow in1994 at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She is Associate Professor at the School of Public Health and the Department of Immunology in the School of Medicine.  She received the Madison’s Who’s Who in America, 2010, the National Leadership Award. Business Advisory Council. Washington, 2006 and Women of the Year 2005 award for her contribution to Immunology. She is serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals and reviewer of 7 journals. She has authored over 70 scientific publications and she is recognized as an international speaker.
