Mariusz WysokiÅââ¬Å¾ski is an Associate Professor Chair of Development in Nursing at the Medical University of Lublin. He obtained the vocational degree of a nurse after having graduated from the Medical Secondary School in ÅÃÂuków and was awarded with the degree of the Master in Nursing in 2000 after graduating from the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences at the Medical University of Lublin. He is presently a PhD in medical sciences granted by the Department of Nursing and Earth Sciences of Prof. Skubiszewski Medical University of Lublin on 19th December 2006. In 2008, he obtained the title of a specialist in nursing care – health promotion and health education. In 2011, he finished postgraduate studies “Geriatrics and long-term care” at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He is a Member of the Polish Nurses’ Association and a Member of the Polish Gerontology Society. He has taken part in 10 international conferences and 40 Polish conferences presenting papers from the field of his interest. He has been the author and co-author of over 100 articles and several chapters in nursing care textbooks.
Mariusz Wysokiński research interests are the system for training nurses and midwives, health promotion and health education, verifying patient classification methods for the sake of planning nurse staffing, geriatric nursing, gerontology, critical care nursing, quality of life.
