Master (since 1994) and Doctor (since 2000) in Aquaculture for Aquaculture Center CAUNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil and Sabbatical Stage concluded in 2011 for Aquatic Animal Health Research Laboratory, ARS, USDA, Auburn, AL, USA. Actually is Associated professor in the Aquaculture Department, Federal University of Santa Catarina. Researcher at the Nucleous of Study in Aquatic Pathology and leader of Labroratory AQUOS-Aquatic Organisms Health. It has integrated projects with EMBRAPA, National and International Universities and fish farms. Fish pathology and parasitology, hematology, ecology of fish parasites, stress and inflammation in cultivated fish, probiotic and immunoprophylaxis are the research lines. Has more than 170 published papers, supervises Master and Doctoral students, Undergraduate students, Post-Doctoral students, reviewer of more than 40 journals. Research fellow from National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
