I have 15 years practical experiences from my former positions at numerous universities, research institutes and manufacturing companies as researcher, product developer and managing director. A part of my former experiences was teaching bachelor and master students at universities on different polymers, materials, fibers and textiles related topics. I have a genuine enthusiasm for advising, quality inspecting, laboratory managing and R & D conducting at polymer, textile and apparel industries. I am capable of team working as textile and polymer specialist on evaluation of raw materials, quality control of final products as well as research and development. I was postdoc fellow at three distinguished universities around the World including University of Berne, Laval University and McGill University by working on synthesis of biocomposites, designing microfluidic devices for sensory applications and processing of polymer composites. My focus at the moment is controlling the aging behavior of high performance textiles and composites for engineering applications. Since January 2017, I have supervised Research and Development at PRE Labs Inc in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
Interests: application of biopolymers and enzymes for surface modification of textiles and composites; functionalization of particles by coating; preparation of composite materials and particles for shielding purposes; preparation of ordered composite crystals by gel diffusion; surface grafting on textiles and polymers by physical methods (plasma and laser); surface characterization of textiles by analytical techniques, interaction of polymers and different additives in blends; UV photocatalysis reactions on textile and polymer surfaces
