Biography

A multi-Ã¢ââ¬ÂÂfaceted telecommunications professional with more than 25 years of experience and accomplishments in a senior management capacity primarily accountable for R&D, Product Development Innovation & Solutions, Technology Management, Network Operations and Academia. Before joining MIMOS, Dr. Mazlan spent 10 years as a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (1984-Ã¢ââ¬ÂÂ1994). He was an Associate Professor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) before he left the academia to join Celcom in 1994. He had served in many senior management positions at Celcom (including R&D, Billing Operations, Technology & Technical Management, Network Administration & Management, Integrated Business Solutions and Mobility Solutions). He is a frequent speaker in many established telecommunication industry conferences. He was the Keynote Speaker and Invited Speaker at U-Ã¢ââ¬ÂÂWorld 2013, USATT-Ã¢ââ¬ÂÂ2012, WSN Seminar 2012, WiFi World Summit 2012, Wireless Broadband Emerging Market 2011, WiMAX Forum SEA 2011, T&M Circle 2010, ISBC 2010, P1 Expert Net 2009, WiMAX World Congress 2009, IPCentral/Wireless World CeBIT 2009, APT and AIC etc. He currently serves as a Committee Member for MCMC Grant for Innovative & Creative Contents and Applications (MaGICCA), MOSTIs Technofund (ICT Cluster) Technical & Commercial Evaluation Committee and an alternate Member of Communications Industry Standardization Committee (MCMC), Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Member of Board Studies for Kulliyah of Engineering IIUM. Currently, he serves as Adjunct Professors for both Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since Sept. 2008 and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn since May 2013.
