Biography

Dr Menghe Miao is currently Principal Scientist in Materials Science and Engineering, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia. He received his BSc in 1982 from Donghua University and PhD in 1985 from the University of Leeds. He worked his rank up to professor at Donghua University before moving to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1992. Dr Miao joined Wool Research Organization of New Zealand (WRONZ) as a research leader in 1996 and then CSIRO as a principal scientist in 2006.

Research Interest

Natural fibres, textile technology and engineering, industrial textiles, fibre reinforced composite materials, carbon nanotube yarns and textiles.
