Dr. MichaÅââ¬Å¡ Zimecki is deputy editor of Archivum Immunologiae et Therapiae Experimentalis (IF for 2014 =3.17). He is born in 1947 (WÅââ¬Å¡ocÅââ¬Å¡awek, Poland). He completed his graduation in 1970 from Department of Biochemistry, University of Wroclaw, Wroclaw, Poland.He received his Ph.D. program from the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy (IITD), Polish Academy of Sciences, Wroclaw, Poland. Dr. MichaÅââ¬Å¡ Zimecki has over 222 peer reviewed publications in PubMed and citations without autocitations: 2092. He has 3 US and 9 Polish patents. He is honored with golden medal of merit. Dr. MichaÅââ¬Å¡ Zimecki research interests include properties and mechanism of action of a proline-rich polypeptide from colostrum,properties, functions and application of lactoferrin, mechanism of presentation of antigen by B cells, phage therapy, activity and potential therapeutic utility of various classes of chemicals (heterocyclic compounds, linear and cyclic peptides).
