Dr. Aizenberg is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her internship at Brown University and her neurosurgical training at George Washington University. She completed an enfolded fellowship at the NIH in the NINDS, Surgical Neurology Branch during her residency training and then completed a formal fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is the Director of the Brain and Spine Cancer Center at The Nebraska Medical Center. Her interests include eloquent area surgery, brain mapping, reorganization and plasticity of eloquent brain function, mechanisms of increased vascularity or hemorrhage in gliomas, spinal cord tumors.
