Professor Mohan Siwakoti has working at Central Department of Botany, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has 32 years of professional experience on plant systematics and biodiversity. His research interests include Plant taxonomy, ethnobotany, wetlands biodiversity and Invasive Alien Plant species of Nepal. Dr. Siwakoti has contributed more than five years time to IUCN Nepal to develop and implement several community based biodiversity and wetland projects. He has also contributed to develop a Wetland Inventory Assessment and Monitoring tool and the Management guidelines of Wetlands invasive alien species in Nepal. Prof. Siwakoti has authored four books as a main and co-authors and over 4 dozens peer reviewed papers. He has contributed to over 10 conference papers and over 2 dozens reports for consultancy projects. He was also a Darwin Scholar (a Darwin supported UK training project) for the preparation of Nepal Flora.
